Subject	Is there any adverse affects having no X or H pipe?

Message	The previous owner I bought my Z from had the stock cats and H pipe replaced with two straight pipes. I am thinking of getting a custom exhaust made, but I need to know if I should get a X pipe made or just leave the straight pipes.
